1 Why does the Checko app get stuck while scanning or fail to complete the process?
In most cases, scanning problems occur due to lighting conditions or camera focus. If there’s excessive light reflecting from the Checko tag, the app may not be able to read the QR code or the 3D security pattern correctly. Please try scanning in normal indoor lighting and ensure your camera lens is clean. If the issue continues, please share your phone model and Android version so our team can investigate it further. You can send these details to contact@checko.ai for quick assistance.
2Should we trust the Checko app ?
Yes you can trust. The Checko app is built on advanced computer vision, image processing, and AI technologies, originally developed at the National Center for Flexible Electronics, IIT Kanpur. To test its reliability, try making a PHYSICAL copy of the Checko tag and scanning it again — the app will detect the copy and mark it invalid. This shows that it uses computational analysis to verify authenticity, not just simple barcode reading. Just like every person has a unique fingerprint, every Checko 3D security tag has its own unique micro-pattern that cannot be copied or recreated. This makes it impossible for counterfeiters to duplicate. So when you scan the tag, you’re essentially verifying the product’s “fingerprint” — ensuring it’s 100% authentic.
3Why sometimes it shows Checko Tag Is not in active state?
Each Checko Tag has a validity period as asked for by the brand. After that only the brand can request further extention, so you may contact your brand. Once extension is granted, the tag will become active again.
4If the app claims to work without internet access, why does it fail to function offline?
Offline mode means you can scan the product tag even without an internet connection. However, the authenticity result will be displayed once your device reconnects to the internet, as the verification process requires secure communication with our servers. To check this result later, simply open the app and tap on the History button — it appears right at the top when you launch the app. Here, you can view all your past scans, including those verified after reconnecting to the internet.
5 What is the minimum Android version required to run the Checko app?
The minimum Android version required to run the Checko app is Android 8.0 (Oreo) or above.
6Can users verify authenticity without installing the app?
No, the authenticity of a product cannot be verified without installing the Checko app, as the verification process requires the app’s built-in scanner and secure algorithms to read and validate the 3D pattern on the Checko tag.
7What are the best lighting conditions for successful code scanning?
Normal room lighting is sufficient for accurate scanning. Avoid very bright light or direct sunlight, as excessive glare may interfere with reading the Checko 3D tag.
8Why is an App needed for authentication?
App MUST always be used for authentication. The alternative web-based authentication is prone to what is known as "script spoofing". Meaning, if web based authentication is used then a counterfeiter can take to a fake website and authenticate a fake products. So, App is for your safety.
9How does the Checko app work to verify product authenticity?
The Checko app uses a unique unclonable 3D security pattern printed on every product’s Checko tag; this 3D pattern even we cannot replicate again, just like human fingerprint. So, this pattern works exactly like use of fingerprint in human authentication. Just like no two people can share the same Aadhaar fingerprint, no two Checko tags have the same 3D pattern — not even Checko can recreate it again. When you scan the tag, the app uses advanced AI and computer vision to analyze the pattern and match it with the record in Checko’s secure database. If the pattern matches, the product is verified as genuine.
10Why is the Checko app not scanning any products even after installation?
The Checko app is completely genuine. It only scans and verifies products that have an original Checko 3D label. If the product doesn’t carry a Checko label, the app won’t be able to scan or authenticate it.
11Does Checko App work on rooted/jailbreak devices?
No, the Checko app does not work on rooted or jailbroken devices. If your phone is rooted, the app will show an error message for security reasons to protect data integrity and prevent unauthorized access.
12What causes the “time out” error during the scanning process?
The “time out” error occurs because the Checko app has a 30-second scanning window. All authenticity verification calculations must be completed within this time. If the tag isn’t detected or scanned properly during this period, the app will show a time-out message.
13What makes the Checko app reliable for checking genuine products?
The Checko app is completely reliable as it is officially available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. These platforms verify apps for safety and authenticity before publishing, ensuring a secure and trusted experience for users.
14What is the main vision or purpose behind the Checko app?
The main vision behind the Checko app is to fight counterfeiting and ensure that customers receive only genuine and safe products. The app uses advanced anti-counterfeiting technology based on unclonable 3D patterns, computer vision, and AI to verify product authenticity. By enabling consumers to instantly check whether a product is genuine, Checko aims to build trust, protect brands, and eliminate fake goods from the market.
15Why does the app require location permission?
App does not collect any personal data. App collects location for the benefit of the users, to know where fakes are being scanned so that the company could take action to protect the users.
16Does the Checko app work only with products that have a Checko 3D tag?
Yes, the Checko app works exclusively with products that have an original Checko 3D tag. It is designed to scan and authenticate only these unique unclonable tags.
17Is there customer support available to help users when the app doesn’t work?
Yes, Checko provides dedicated customer support. If the app isn’t working or you encounter any issues, please email us at contact@checko.ai, and our team will assist you promptly.
